Each year, we are giving away Thanksgiving turkeys to share the holiday spirit with our community. Our annual turkey giveaway, which has become a tradition, was started by Perry’s wife, Mrs. Clemstine Hugee, over 32 years ago. The idea was conceived out of her worry that the employees may not make it in time to purchase turkeys or may need more. Perry and Clemstine felt that no belly should ever be empty. It has transformed into something folks look forward to each and every year.
Perry has not missed a single thanksgiving to date. Employees are given a choice of turkey, ham, or chicken. Even after Clemstine passed away, Perry still carried on the tradition this year—all the while keeping her memory close to his heart. Perry felt it MOST imperative to continue to share good fortune this year especially as the disparity we face is not just as a nation but by all of mankind TOGETHER.
